Things We Do To Justify Our Lives

May 4, 2021

Choosing a career in law has been one of the most rewarding decisions Alex has ever made. As a dedicated law student, Alex is driven by the opportunity to advocate for justice and make a meaningful impact on society. The legal field offers Alex a unique platform to defend the rights of individuals, influence public policy, and contribute to the creation of a fair and just legal system.

The Case for thrill

The intellectual challenge that comes with navigating complex legal issues and staying abreast of evolving regulations keeps one constantly engaged and motivated.

What truly excites me about law is the diversity of fields it encompasses. Whether it's corporate law, human rights, environmental law, or intellectual property, there is a niche that aligns with every passion and interest. This variety ensures that I can tailor a career to evolving interests and goals.

The Case for self improvement

Critical thinking, negotiation, problem-solving—are not only essential for a legal career but are also highly valuable in any professional context. For me, studying law is not just about pursuing a career; it's about embracing a profession that challenges intellectually, aligns with personal values, and offers the chance to effect positive change in the world.

Be Independent and hopefully earn a living

Choosing a career in law was driven by a desire for independence and the hope of earning a sustainable living. The potential to build a career that offers both financial stability and the freedom to make impactful decisions is something I really value. The legal profession provides a clear path to achieving professional autonomy, allowing one to advocate for clients, navigate complex legal challenges, and contribute meaningfully to society. Beyond the intellectual stimulation and diversity of legal fields, I hope law acts as a means to achieve personal and financial goals, ensuring a secure future while making an impact.

Conclusion

I really have no idea where things will go. We live in uncertain times and maybe it's all pointless but I want to give it a shot and do things that I want before I decide to give up or end up dead. Hopefully the latter comes first - Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once.
